There is one question my daughter always asks once I tell her we are going to stay at a hotel: "Is there a pool?". I know I am not alone in this and in fact some people plan vacations and where to stay based on how nice the hotel's pool is. Maybe they are looking for family fun, or perhaps they just want a serene and luxurious setting to spend their afternoons. Having a good pool at your hotel really can make or break a vacation especially if traveling with smaller children. Even if there is a beach at your hotel, many young ones are uncertain about venturing in to the surf as I know I was in Hawaii when I was young. I also remember several Vegas vacations where probably 70% of my daytime activity was in a pool and I really came to appreciate when a property had invested time and money into creating these aquatic escapes. Hopefully this list will give you some ideas for your next stay but even if none of these entice you, I hope that you will give some thought to finding your perfect oasis.
